I am using Mac Os 10.8.4  and  had several problems with the comm.jar and RXTXcomm.jar libraries , so I had to compile new RXTXcomm.jar and rxtxSerial.jnilib for my machine , following Run the configuration script in the rxtx-devel folder $ sh ./configure 7.
